Louth lady shaves her head for charity

A Louth lady lost her locks to the clippers to raise money for the rheumatology fund at the Health Tree Foundation.

Peta Petcher raised £1,500 after shaving her head at a special event which also saw an afternoon of bingo, a raffle and a tombola.

She wanted to raise money for the fund as she has been a patient with consultant rheumatologist Dr Tim Gillott for the last 10 years at Grimsby’s Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.

Peta said: “It’s so nice to be able to give back to the hospital for the care I received.

“I also want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has helped me. I couldn’t have raised this much money without support from my friends. I want them all to know how grateful I am.

Dr Gillott said: “We are very happy to accept this generous donation. It will be spent towards the benefit of our patients in rheumatology.”

Our fantastic donors help us to help…
