Local business group donates to charity

Patients on the Pink Rose Suite at Grimsby hospital are set to benefit thanks to the generosity of The Business Generation Group (BGG).

The networking group nominates a charity every quarter and this time around they have donated £200 to the Pink Rose Suite.

Arnie Shelley, chairman of BGG, said: “As local business people it’s important to give back to the community. One of our members highlighted the important role of the suite for local patients and we all decided we wanted to help.”

Helen Lindley, advanced nurse practitioner, said: “We are extremely grateful for the generosity of people like BGG. It’s great to see local business people supporting local charities.”

Lauren Alexander, community champion for The Health Tree Foundation (HTF) said: “Thank you so much to everyone at BGG for selecting the Pink Rose Suite. This donation will allow us at HTF to grant wishes for patients on the Pink Rose Suite; our aim is to provide the above and beyond items and experiences for people using Grimsby Hospital.”

The BGG meets every Tuesday at Laceby Manor Golf Club at 7.30am for a breakfast network.  Founded in 2005 the group always welcomes new guests.
