Grimsby in Bloom partners with The Health Tree Foundation

Green-fingered members of Grimsby in Bloom are set to breathe new life into an overgrown garden at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.

Following a request from a member of the public to brighten up one of the gardens  The Health Tree Foundation got in touch with Grimsby in Bloom to see if they could lend a hand.

The garden is at the heart of the hospital and can be accessed by both patients and staff where they can sit and enjoy a bit of fresh air.

Volunteers from Grimsby in Bloom and the hospital are set to pull on their gloves, grab their trowels and banish the weeds to bring the area back to life on Saturday 30th April 2016.

Elaine Atkinson from Grimsby in Bloom said: “We are delighted to be working with The Health Tree Foundation on this project. The garden is wonderful, it just needs bringing back to life.”

Victoria Winterton from The Health Tree Foundation said: “We are so grateful to Grimsby in Bloom for volunteering to help us with our garden. We are looking forward to a sunny Saturday so we can get the area in tip top condition.”

Our fantastic donors help us to help…
