Supporters club put their wheels in motion to help baby unit

The Scunthorpe United Official Supporters Club (SUOSC) are set to cycle more than 30 miles to help raise funds for Scunthorpe hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit.

Raising funds for the hospital’s official charity, The Health Tree Foundation (HTF), the group will be cycling from Grimsby Town FC, Blundall Park,  to Scunthorpe United FC, Glanford Park on Sunday March 17.

Chairman of the SUOSC Neal Campbell said: “We are asking for the public to get behind our Just Giving page and sponsor us. We are not  experienced bikers so to take on this ride will be a challenge for us all.”

The fundraisers will be passing through Grimsby, Cleethorpes towards Laceby before heading through to Scunthorpe. Two cars will also be following the team in case the riders get an injury or a puncture.
